Orders and delivery information.

Order Quantities

The minimum order is €15. By placing an order with us, you are confirming that you are over 18 years of age and that the person(s) receiving the order is also over the age of 18 years.

Delivery Area Covered

We can deliver to the whole of Ireland.

Delivery

We will use a reputable courier service to deliver your wine and therefore ask you to supply a contact phone number and a delivery address where there will be someone there to accept delivery. Delivery will generally be within 2 - 4 working days.

Breakages

This is rare and we hope it doesn’t happen! If your wine does not arrive in a reasonable condition, please notify us as soon as possible. We will arrange to pick-up the wine and rectify the problem at our expense. If your wine is visibly damaged, please refuse to take delivery of the wine and request that it be returned to us. We will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Delivery Charges

We only ask you to pay a €5 contribution towards the delivery of your wine, for orders up to €195. For orders greater than €195, your delivery is FREE. Delivery is limited to Ireland at present.

Availability

We will notify you of any delay to your order and if the wine is going to be out of stock for more than a couple of days, we will contact you to offer you an alternative wine of equal or higher price at no extra cost to yourself.

Introduction

We believe that we are offering the highest quality goods and providing an excellent customer service with attention to detail at all times. Statutory Rights

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Age Restriction

In accordance with the law we do not sell alcohol to anyone under the age of eighteen. By placing an order with us you are confirming that you are over eighteen. If the wine you purchase is gift then the recipient must also be over eighteen.

Wine Guarantee

If, in the unlikely event, you are unhappy with the quality of the wine you purchase on our website or if it is not to your liking we will refund you for wine that has not been opened and remains in a saleable condition on its return. Simply return it to us for a refund.

Prices and Payment

All prices are quoted in euros and include VAT. We do not accept responsibility for typographical errors. Prices can change at any time without notice. You may pay using major credit cards and laser cards. We will also accept payment by cheque and goods will be dispatched upon clearance of the cheque.

Inspection of goods

Goods must be inspected, immediately upon delivery. Any discrepancies or breakages must be informed to the carrier and to us at stewart@winesandhampers.ie within 3 working days. If there are any breakages, you should not accept delivery and the carrier must take back the package(s). Any damages or faulty products must be retained for inspection or collection by us. We will refund or replace any damaged product in full.

Governing Law and Contract Formation

No contract will subsist between you and thewineshop.ie and/or thehampershop.ie for the sale by it to you of any product unless and until thewineshop.ie and/or thehampershop.ie accepts your order by email confirming your order. For the avoidance of doubt, any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in Ireland. Further, any such contract will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of Ireland and you and thewineshop.ie and/or thehampershop.ie irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts. Contracts formed between thewineshop.ie, thehampershop.ie and users as a result of using these sites shall be governed in all respects by Irish law and all such users hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts

Payment Details

Protection of your details is of paramount importance to us. Your payments are made through Worldpay or paypal, a company with a long track record in the provision of secure transmission of data using state of the art encryption. Any credit card details you provide will immediately be deleted from the system once the payment is made.

Contact Details

Your contact details are used to ensure completion of the order and to keep you up to date on its status. We will not give any of your details to any third party under any circumstances.
